Tidal
Arts Lighthouse call :
TIDAL ArtS is a project offering grants to artists,
collectives, and creatives across Europe to inspire
engagement with the EU’s Mission to Restore Our Ocean and
Waters by 2030. Using water as both subject and
methodology, the project fosters connections between
disciplines, species, and communities, focusing on four
key regions: the Atlantic-Arctic Ocean, the Mediterranean
Sea, the Baltic-North Sea, and the Danube River-Black
Sea.
LIFE-2025-STRAT-NAT-SNaP-two-stage :
Strategic Nature Projects (SNaPs) under the
LIFE Programme can contribute to the achievement of the
Mission Ocean and Waters objectives
by supporting the restoration and sustainable
management of marine and coastal ecosystems, improving
biodiversity resilience, and reducing key environmental
pressures.
LIFE-2025-PLP-NAT-ENV
Priority 7 (Climate Proof Pollution Alert model) :
The LIFE-2025-PLP-NAT-ENV call falls under the LIFE
Programme’s Preparatory Projects, targeting ad hoc
legislative and policy priorities in the fields of
environment and nature. It focuses on supporting the
implementation of the EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030,
the Nature Restoration Law, and the effective management
and restoration of marine, freshwater, and terrestrial
ecosystems. Projects are expected to develop innovative
approaches, improve governance, and contribute to the EU’s
environmental and biodiversity goals.
LIFE-2025-SAP-CLIMA-CCA
(Climate Change Adaptation) :
The LIFE-2025-SAP-CLIMA call falls under the Climate
Action sub-programme of the broader LIFE Programme. The
sub-programme targets actions that contribute to climate
change mitigation, climate change adaptation, and climate
governance and information. Projects under the Climate
Change Adaptation (CCA) Priority Area aim to enhance
adaptive capacity, strengthen resilience, and reduce
vulnerability to the impacts of climate change, in line
with the EU Climate Law and the EU Strategy on Adaptation
to Climate Change.
LIFE-2025-SAP-CLIMA-CCM
(Climate Change Mitigation) :
The LIFE-2025-SAP-CLIMA call falls under the Climate
Action sub-programme of the broader LIFE Programme. The
sub-programme targets actions that contribute to climate
change mitigation, climate change adaptation, and climate
governance and information. Projects under the Climate
Change Mitigation (CCM) Priority Area aim to support the
implementation of the European Green Deal and the EU
Climate Law, contributing toward the 2030 target of at
least a 55% reduction in net greenhouse gas emissions
compared to 1990 levels. The broader goal is to help
achieve EU climate neutrality by 2050.
LIFE-2025-SAP-ENV-ENVIRONMENT :
The LIFE Circular Economy and Zero Pollution
sub-programme specifically supports the transition toward
a sustainable, circular, toxic-free, energy-efficient, and
climate-resilient economy, aiming to protect, restore, and
improve the quality of the environment in line with the
European Green Deal. It targets three main priority areas:
circular economy and waste management, zero pollution and
sustainable management of natural resources (covering air,
water, soil, chemicals, noise, and industrial emissions),
and environmental governance.
LIFE-2025-SAP-NAT-GOV :
The LIFE Nature and Biodiversity sub-programme aims to
develop, demonstrate, promote, and scale up innovative
solutions (e.g. nature-based and ecosystem approaches) to
achieve EU objectives on nature and biodiversity. It
supports strengthening the knowledge base, applying best
practices including through the Natura 2000 network, and
enhancing the development, enforcement, and monitoring of
relevant legislation. The sub-programme also focuses on
improving governance by building the capacities of public
and private actors, encouraging civil society engagement,
and catalysing the large-scale deployment and integration
of successful solutions across other policies and sectors.
The sub-programme covers the priority areas of EU
nature, and awareness raising, compliance assurance and
access to justice related to nature and biodiversity
legislation.
LIFE-2025-SAP-NAT-NATURE :
The LIFE Nature and Biodiversity sub-programme aims to
develop, demonstrate, promote, and scale up innovative
solutions (e.g. nature-based and ecosystem approaches) to
achieve EU objectives on nature and biodiversity. It
supports strengthening the knowledge base, applying best
practices including through the Natura 2000 network, and
enhancing the development, enforcement, and monitoring of
relevant legislation. The sub-programme also focuses on
improving governance by building the capacities of public
and private actors, encouraging civil society engagement,
and catalysing the large-scale deployment and integration
of successful solutions across other policies and sectors.
The sub-programme covers the priority areas of EU
nature, and awareness raising, compliance assurance and
access to justice related to nature and biodiversity
legislation.
LIFE-2025-STRAT-ENV-SIP-two-stage
: Water SIPs : The
Water Strategic Integrated Projects (Water SIPs) under
the LIFE-2025-STRAT-ENV-SIP-two-stage call
aim to support the large-scale, coordinated
implementation of water-related environmental strategies
and plans at regional, national, or transnational levels.
Specifically, Water SIPs focus on implementing River Basin
Management Plans (RBMPs), Flood Risk Management Plans
(FRMPs), Marine Strategies under the Marine Strategy
Framework Directive, and Drought Management Plans under
the Water Framework Directive. Water SIPs contribute
directly to improving the ecological status of water
bodies, restoring aquatic ecosystems, and strengthening
resilience to pollution and climate change impacts.
LIFE-2025-SAP-ENV-GOV :
The LIFE Circular Economy and Zero Pollution
sub-programme specifically supports the transition toward
a sustainable, circular, toxic-free, energy-efficient, and
climate-resilient economy, aiming to protect, restore, and
improve the quality of the environment in line with the
European Green Deal. It targets three main priority areas:

Lighthouse
Calls:
The Lighthouse Calls are part of the TIDAL ArtS
initiative, funded by the EU to support the Mission to
Restore Our Ocean and Waters by 2030. Through this open
call, 20 artists, collectives, and creatives across Europe
will be awarded €15,000 grants to create participatory,
community-focused artworks. The selected projects must
connect citizens to their aquatic environments and raise
awareness of environmental challenges through artistic
expression. Five artists will be chosen from each of four
designated “Lighthouse” regions—Atlantic-Arctic,
Mediterranean, Baltic-North Sea, and Danube-Black Sea.
Projects must be completed by June 2026 and involve
collaboration with scientists, educators, and
communities.
